Are you looking for religious education classes for your middle or high school student in Lubbock, Texas? San Jose Catholic Church is dedicated to providing a comprehensive religious education program to help young disciples learn and grow in their faith. Our goal is to provide the truth and intimacy of God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit to young souls. In today's world, it is essential for young people to understand that they were created to know God, love Him, and serve Him. At San Jose Catholic Church, we are committed to assisting parents in their role as disciples and forming disciples within the family.
We offer CCE classes at the John Saleh Catholic Student Center for preschool, kindergarten, first, third, and fourth grades. To register with CCE or learn more about our program, please visit our website. The Office of Catechesis (OC) is devoted to proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ in every human situation. We strive to be attentive to the signs of the times and serve as pastoral leaders for all Catholics.
The OC builds on the rich legacy of the Catholic faith by appreciating its religious, cultural, geographical, and generational diversity. We also provide a resource library and website to help parishes select texts for preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school students in Catholic schools and parish programs. All parochial and elementary school textbooks used in the Diocese of Lubbock must be chosen from the Conformity List of Catechetical Texts and Series established by the Episcopal Committee on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. At San Jose Catholic Church, we are devoted to carrying out the work of renewed and comprehensive catechesis.
We train catechists who are agents of renewal in order to provide “education in the faith” as envisioned by the parish church. Our goal is to promote total human development of catechized persons and lead them to communion and intimacy with Jesus Christ. The Office of Catechesis is guided by the Mission Statement of the Diocese of Lubbock and catechetical and evangelizing documents of the Church. Students must be enrolled in CCE classes or a Catholic school during their first and second year of grade.
